Avid is what a lot of small shops buy, and the Benchtop PRO 2424 is that same industrial thinking in a 26-inch-square bed: a 4 HP Hiteco spindle, Centroid’s CNC12 control, ball screws, rails, and options for servos, a 12-inch Z and an ATC spindle.
It’s a kit, it needs a Windows PC, and it costs more than most people’s first three machines combined. But if you’re starting a business, this is a machine you won’t replace — and resale value on Avid is excellent.
